The Tablet WARS

2011 also known as the year of the tablets. The tablet will revolutionize the way we browse the internet which is basically a part of our lives right now and make video conferencing on the move its also a new way to read books magazines and newspapers, and soon it will soon replace the the laptops since its more reliable lighter and costs like a notebook and it will also replace your credit card and make online banking far more easier.

There are many tablets that are out in the market and there are many others that are coming this spring with promising features. but the question is which tablet is gonna dominate the market and will make people want to stand in line to buy it?
There are until now 4 major companies that will be competing this year in the market which are Apple, Samsung, Motorola, and BlackBerry. as you can see these are all companies that manufacture smart phones and they all have user experience in this field.

Motorola is gonna release its Android running tablet (Xoom) later this year which will feature 10.1 inch display a dual core 1ghz cpu Nvidea Tegra 2 with 1gb of ram 32gb of internal memory with a micro sd card slot a 5mp rear facing camera and a 2mp front facing camera with wifi bluetooth 2.1 ,3g ,4g capabilities and a battery which offers 10 hours of video playback and it will weigh 730g.

Samsung which it had already released its android tablet (galaxy tab) which features a 7 inch display a 1GHz core A8 processor, with 16gb / 32gb of internal storage with a micro SD slot it also has a 1.3mp front facing camera and a 3mp rear camera and 7 hours of video playback and weighs 380g. A new model with better specs is excepted to released in the summer of 2011.

BlackBerry will release its tablet (playbook) this spring will have a 7 inch display a 1ghz dual core processor  with 1gb of ram a 3mp front facing camera and a 5mp rear camera with 4g bluetooth and wifi capabilities and will way 400g.

Apple is the first one to release a tablet (iPad) is gonna release its next generation tablet which will probably feature the same 9.7 inch display but with higher resolution which will be powered by the dual core processor Cortex A9 with 1.2ghz and 512mb of ram with 32gb/64gb/128gb internal storage and will feature a 3mp front facing camera and a 5mp or 8mp rear camera and with the same 10hr battery life and it gonna way less than 730g for the 3g model and with 3g bluetooth wifi and NFC technology capabilities.

So as we can see the specs look promising but the problem with the BlackBerry and the Samsung tablets (which is also an advantage an advantage in the point of view in some people but statistics beg to differ) is there screen size which doesn't provide the full web experience with a 7 inch display as they display the mobile version of websites. now we are left with the iPad by apple and the Xoom by Motorola which both of them provide similar screen sizes, until now all we can say is that the ipad 2 will get the advantage over the motorola with its App Store itunes store and the ibooks store compared to the android store and that people have experience with apple's easy to use products and there reliability and well built quality. But at the end these are all speculations of how things gonna go and they might not be true.

P.S: i didn't mention the hp/palm cause there is no hand-on reviews for it more over its not gonna be released this year as far as we know, and the dell tablet, with a 5 inch display, which is more of a smart phone than a tablet.
