iPad 2 's disappointments

  Apple have sold more than a million ipad 2 and counting but despite its speed thinness weight and most importantly its App store and with all of it's success its not a perfect tablet and if it wasn't for some hitches that the device has, it would have been the perfect tablet that you wouldn't even think twice of buying over the other tablets on the market.

     The first disappointment in the first generation iPad was the absence of at least a front facing camera,but thats not the problem with new iPad 2 actually you have both a front and back facing camera and the first disappointment lays there. the cameras on the ipad 2 are unbelievably bad especially when you are shooting stills i know that some may say that the ipad 2 is not made for shooting pictures but come on the iPhone 4 has better cameras than the iPad 2 both when shooting videos or stills and its 7 times smaller than the iPhone 4. others would argue that Apple didn't put decent cameras to maintain its price point, well I would rather have a 3mp front facing camera that can shoot HD videos than 2 some how useless than 2 cameras. Now apple says that these cameras weren't made to shoot stills and i totally agree and more than that i think these cameras aren't even good for shooting video, seriously have you seen how grainy the footage look both when using the front a froward facing camera. But the funny thing is that apple added two new applications one is Photo Booth and the other is iMovie which are both pretty good applications until you use them when and you realize that they are both useless because of the VGA quality cameras when you want to use Photo Booth and the low quality video recording from both cameras when you want to use them to record and edit your videos on iMovie.

  The second disappointment was with the iPad 2 screen, now i don't mean it's resolution or brightness (which by the way is pretty good compared to all the tablets on the market which look flushed compared to the iPad 2). When you are indoors the iPad 2 is a very good device to watch movies on (despite its aspect ratio which doesn't allow you take advantage of the screen size) hearing music browsing the internet reading books, etc. the problem is when you take the iPad 2 outside where you realize that you aren't able to watch browse the internet or even read magazines and books under the sunlight. now apple clearly knows abut that the problem but they have clearly failed to address it.

   The last and the most important thing which is the easiest to solve is the notification system on all of the iOS devices and not only the iPad 2. I cant believe that apple with all its experience in the market and clearly one of the best all in one computers, laptop, phone manufacturer and definitely the best tablet manufacturer so far did not address the one thing that they are falling behind to there best competition which is google with its Android OS has failed to put in a descent notification system in there iOS. Now i guess we should wait until apple releases there new update for their iOS when they release the new iPhone 5 which will be around June or July since there are rumors flying around that the notification system will be changed from the ground up. If thats true then it would have taken apple more than 5 years to address this problem.
